production- even more setbacks

I got ready to record actual film yesterday, gathering all the props I needed. The glitter prop wasn't the color I wanted, but the texture was the way I wanted. I got a ride to pick up the person assisting I arrived at the park to film. I forgot a couple of props, as it turns out. A, B, and C were meant to sit on a blanket, and have little food props, but I forgot those two things. They aren't integral to the film, but I felt it as though it would give the film a whimsical aesthetic. I was disappointed but decided I would film without them. I set up the little plates with the stuffed animals which was super cute actually, but it felt strange without a blanket. I did struggle in where to set everything up to have the best lighting. There was only one picnic table with a view that wasn't distracting. It also happened to have pretty good lighting, which, at first, seemed like the prefect stop, so decided to set up to film there.

Once I began to finish organizing props and settle into that picnic table spot to film, I and the person helping me noticed I that on that bench was a bug on the table. I, being exceptionally brave and within range, screamed and backed as far away as possible, as it had was orange and had creepy little pincers. Pouring water on the tiny demon did nothing, it was his table now. Eventually I lost track of him, which was scary enough to make me set up location in a couple other places. I and my helper tried setting up on a singular bench before realizing that wouldn't jive with the storyboards. There was a lot of discussion nd back and forth on how to proceed. After a while I decided I filming had to start, so I set up at and around the bug table again and prayed. Even then, we only got two pieces of film, as people were sitting on the tables that were also under the tarp we were under. The tables and the park as a whole was only getting more crowded, and it was getting cloudy, so we called it a day. I hadn't seen my acting until after the fact, and wasn't satisfied, so I plan to to start fresh at a different park.

The bug looked like this but tiny
