AICE Media Studies

 On my first day of filming I found I actually couldn't film in the media center, which is unfortunate. Thankfully it's not going to be impossible to work with. What I ended up filming was a crude little test clip in the AICE Media classroom. What I will most likely be doing is filming the majority of the scenes in that room as well. The only problem s maybe the noise. During editing will most likely edit a voiceover overtop of the original recording. In a classroom setting I would probably record final lines in the moment, but the noise makes it not an option. Don't get me wrong, I'll film lines in the moment as well. The difference is these lines just won't be the ones in the final take.

 1. Person B has forgotten to study for their quiz. Person A offers up their notes that they have in their notebook. 2. Person B takes the notes and whips out their Bic brand pen. They begin to transfer the notes on to their hand/wrist. They wipe it to see if it stays. It does. They head inside their 'classroom'. 3. Person B does their quiz, again using their Bic brand pen, with the notes they've written in Bic brand pen as well. 4.The camera zooms on the quiz and their notes match their quiz exactly. They continue quizzing. 5. For good measure, the camera zooms n on the pretty writing that the pen does across the paper. 6. Person B receives their quiz. They smile and take a look at the other side, revealing to the audience the A+ that they received

 Props: The main prop for this commercial will be the pen, since it's going to be the showcase of the commercial. I'll also be using a sheet of paper, perhaps several, maybe some textbooks as well. Costumes:  The costumes won't be anything in specific, most likely casual clothing, school appropriate due to the filming environment. Schedule: September 21- All research is done September 29- establish storyboard October 1 and 5-  Filming stages October 7 and 11- Editing stages October 11- Finish commercial Reflection- October 13  Location List:   I hope to film in somewhere that looks like a classroom, maybe the media center. The first scene might need a hallway as well. I thought this would work since pens are used the most in school settings.

 For my project I've decided to do an add for a pen, probably Paper Mate or Bic. Commercials like these usually show someone using the pen itself. - The camera often zooms takes a focus on the ink - Showcases the boldness and quality of the ink - Depending on the pen or writing utensil, the commercial will showcase the pens special qualities, like it's vibrant color, it's ability to erase, or it's lack of smudge when touched. 1. Always show the brand of pen at some point 2. Almost never show celebrities, probably to pander to the every-day individual 3. Sometimes doesn't show the actual ink but an animated version to emphasize product quality

 I have chosen to work alone on our up and coming assignment. I tend to work better without a group. The project is one that involves filming, so that should be fun. We have to storyboard as well. This is when you essentially make a comic of what you plan to film. Each panel is about six seconds of film. The panels themselves don't have to be detailed, just enough to know what is happening. When you film based off of them, you tend to not film in order. This is manly for convenience. If a scene changes locations a lot, you should film all the scenes set in one location in one go. This makes it so the actors wont have to move from place to place. After filming, you'll find you have multiple shots. The job of the editor is to pick the best ones. Often some shots were not storyboarded, and were instead improvised. Editors will have to find their place. Sometimes entire scenes get cut out for the sake of the film.  Now that I've given it some thought, I might not work alone. If

 My name is Nicole Hernandez. I'm a student at Fort Lauderdale High and I'm excited to be writing blogs. I live with my mom, dad, and brother in our house. We all really like movies so I'm glad I'm taking a class that teaches the film process. So far, learning in this class has been interesting. We just finished going over terms to prepare for exams. We also turned in a practice assignment. The practice assignment was earlier in the year, but it still made me think. I take other interesting classes too, like U.S history. History has always been interesting to me. I'm also a part of mock trial club. I might want to work in the field of law, I've noted. Even if I don't it's a fun activity.  I enjoy my classes, for the most part. Exam season can be stressful, though. This is why i want to be as prepared as i possibly can. I want to be able to say  know what I'm talking about when writing an exam essay. I also want to be able to know information for mult
